Through this two month long experiment, we learned all about mindfulness and meditation. We started by studying the benefits of this practice, then researched the best ways to meditate. After 5 weeks of research, we began our mindful meditation. I meditated in the early morning, and Lauren meditated right before she went to bed. I saw that I became more awake and alert, while Lauren’s sleep pattern improved greatly. We reflected on our experience, and would like to continue to practice mindfulness and meditation. Before this project started, we didn’t have a clue about what mindfulness meditation is, but now, we feel like it has positively impacted our lives and hope to share our experiences with other peers who struggle with getting enough sleep and staying awake and alert during the day.

Mindfulness Meditation Exploration - W7
Today we reflected on the positive experiences we had while meditating. We considered the benefits we received such as being more relaxed, less stressed, and having more energy. Overall we will use this information to help us communicate more effectively with our peers. It will also give us ethos when it comes to giving those around us advice about mindfulness meditation.
